2010 Milk shares are available! Please e-mail or call to sign up as a shareholder.

It is illegal to sell raw milk in Colorado, however, receiving raw milk through a share program as outlined in Senate Bill 05-055 is legal. By purchasing a portion (share) of the goat herd that is boarded with Blue Barn you are entitled to receive a portion of the milk production each week. One share is equal to approximately 1/2 gallon of fresh, raw milk per week during
the lactation cycle (about 10 months per year). Milk may be limited or unavailable for 2-3 months in the winter/early spring during the "dry” season when the goats are preparing to have kids or are feeding their newborn kids.

Cost of one share:

Initial share fee                                   $25

Jar purchase-(2 jars with plastic lids) $ 8

Monthly boarding fee                          $22

To purchase a share it costs $55 initially (share fee, jars & 1st month boarding fee). Each month following is $22 for boarding.

Proverbs 27:26-27

The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.  And thou shalt have goats milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.
